How to get to the Zopilote surf camp: travel directions

Arriving in San Jose at the international airport? Take a taxi to the nueva terminal / transporte cobano (5 blocks north from the mercedes church, ph:(506) 2642 1112) where direct buses (Rodriguez bus) leave to Mal Pais/Santa Teresa at 6:00 am and 2:00 pm every day. Give us a call when you leave from San Jose to arrange pickup-time in Mal Pais (ph.: 2640 0541).  The entire trip will take around 6 hours and costs you approximately US$ 12.

Arriving in San Jose late afternoon or at night, you might want to stay in one of the many backpackers or hotels and leave the next morning. Let us know when you plan to stay in San Jose over night, and we can recommend you some nice places in the capital.

Another convenient & faster but more expensive option is to take a local flight from San Jose to Tambor (25 min.). From there you have to take a taxi to our surf camp (1h). Check Sansa or Nature Air for more details!
