Our surf camp at Playa Hermosa

In 2005 we fulfilled a dream and founded a surfcamp in Costa Rica (more about it). Our camp is by surfers, for surfers. Because of this and because we designed the surf camp according to our own preferences, we put our heart and soul into every detail. Our stylish camp is inhabited by a maximum of 16 guests – a number which we consider the optimal size. With only two minutes walking distance, we are the closest camp to Playa Hermosa. This keeps you flexible and independent from annoying shuttles. The surf camp itself consists of four spacious, two-story cabins, an inviting pool, a chill area and many other interesting features. Between surfboards, guitars, book-sharing, comfortable hammocks and other relaxed seating, you will always find a new way to recover from your surfing sessions. Just let yourself drift!

The Cabinas

During your stay, you will be accommodated in one of our four stylish cabins. Each has four comfortable beds (two upstairs, two downstairs), air conditioning, a small cozy lounge area and a private bathroom with shower. The special architecture makes you feel the surrounding nature. The sustainable wood design elements create a pleasant indoor climate. The wooden galleries turn our cabins into maisonettes, which offer you a generous space for your clothes and more.

The environment

Our camp is located in the jungle just before the beautiful Playa Hermosa, which is Spanish for “beautiful beach”; the beach definitely deserves this name! Our fascination in the breathtaking flora and fauna never ends after almost 15 years. Between howler monkeys, coconuts, waves and much more, you will experience harmony with nature. Our digs are perfect for chilling out and letting your soul dangle. Around the surf camp you will find cafés, a small supermarket and other various offerings (this can vary depending on the season). About a 10 minute drive south is Santa Teresa – a fast growing tourist destination with countless bars, restaurants, beach clubs, surf shops and much more. There you can satisfy your party hunger at the legendary beach parties.
